Judge William Sessions Named Vice Chairman of ExecutiveAction’s

Washington – Former FBI Director Judge William Sessions today was named by ExecutiveAction LLC as Vice Chairman of its Senior Advisory Board.

Judge Sessions
Judge Sessions, currently a partner at Holland & Knight LLP, has had a successful career in both law and public service.
Sessions was an attorney at a law firm in Texas from 1958 until appointed in 1969 as Chief of the Government Operations Section, Criminal Division of the Department of Justice. In 1971, Sessions was named U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas, was appointed U.S. District Judge for this jurisdiction in 1974, and then Chief Judge in 1980.
President Ronald Reagan nominated Sessions as Director of the FBI and he was sworn in November 2, 1987. Sessions served as Director until July 1993.
Sessions earned a B.A. in political science and economics from Baylor University in 1956 and a J.D. from the University’s School of Law in 1958. He has received numerous awards and honors, including “Lawyer of the Year” from Baylor’s Law School, the Golden Plate Award from the American Academy of Achievement, and Ellis Island Congressional Medal of Honor in 1992. Sessions served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot from 1952-1955.
